Membership

Who Can Join Blue Star Mothers of New Hampshire, Chapter 1?

Blue Star Mothers
A Mother or Stepmother (since the child was of the age of 13) who has a son or daughter who is serving, or has been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States. Services included are the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserve Units, and the Merchant Marines.

Blue Star Dads (see associate member)
A Father or Step Father (since the child was of the age of thirteen) who has a son or daughter who is serving, or has been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States. Services included are the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserve Units, and the Merchant Marines.

Blue Star Associates
A spouse, sister, brother, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, or friend of someone who is serving, or has been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States. Services included are the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserve Units, and the Merchant Marines.

Dues
Dues for a Blue Star Mother is $20.00 per year and can be paid on line with Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. or by down loading the application Click Here for 2011/2012 Membership form. Associates membership is free.

I Am A Blue Star Mother

I am the mother of a United States Service Member
My child gave me this title.

I will give him/her a heart full of wonder at his/her accomplishments and a
voice that praises his/her desire to serve.

I will place my faith in his/her military training and in God's protection.
I will give him/her the prayers that will follow him/her where I cannot.

I will be strong when I want to cry and brave when I want to cower.
He/She will know that I am behind him/her every step of the way.

This monument is located in Tamworth, NH ( placed at the
Veteran Memorial) Nellie W. Fortierwas was a Blue Star Mom (x's 6)
and all of her six sons made it home from WWII.
